Please note that given the fluid nature of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Confidio will continue to monitor the situation and work with the PBMs to verify emergency protocols have been enacted as well as alert clients to potential drug shortages.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is closely monitoring the Coronavirus. Updates on current information can be found on the CDC website here.

Limiting spread

Efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19 increasingly involve the closings of schools, cancellation of events and work-from-home requirements by employers. Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and a highly respected virologist noted to Fox News yesterday, “I don’t think you want to have folks shutting down cities like in northern Italy. We are not at that level. That is a hot spot. Social distancing like in Seattle is the way to go. I’m not talking about locking down anything. There’s a big difference between voluntary social distancing and locking anything down.”  Read more here.
