Brian Maas recently joined Confidio as a member of the clinical consulting team. Previously, he spent 18 years crafting his PBM expertise with PCS, Medco/UHG and Medco/ESI where he was responsible for maintaining and improving Concurrent and Retrospective DUR platforms; serving as a Clinical Account Executive for Key accounts; implementing and maintaining numerous custom formularies for UnitedHealth Group; and serving as Senior Director of Formulary Operations for the entire Medco book of business.
Brian has presented at national conferences, including the annual MediSpan Summit. His awards include the PCS President’s Award for Outstanding DUR Leadership and Excellence in DUR Review, and the Medco President’s Award for Best Practice. Brian comes to Confidio after spending 4-plus years as a consultant in the hospital health system arena with PSG. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy at North Dakota State University.
He currently resides in Plymouth, Minnesota with his wife Jackie. Jackie serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for the city of Plymouth and manages nearly 3000 volunteers. In 2017, she was presented the Mary Wiser Award for Leadership in the Field of Volunteer Resources by the Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration. Their son Graham is currently attending the United States Air Force Academy. Graham was a two-time national champion for Team USA Modern Pentathlon and competed on the national and international stage, winning the gold medal for Team USA in the PanAm international championship in 2016.
